Doing our part to help a small Texas town fund a top-notch skatepark.

Some see a skateboard, others see a canvas.

Brent Humphreys founded Project LOOP (Lessons On and Off the Pavement) in 2011 to benefit youth through lessons in creativity, exercise, and hard work in a real world experience outside the classroom. Seeing a need in his community of Taylor, Texas, Project LOOP created a fundraising drive called 50/50, where kids in the community sent blank skateboards to their favorite artists, then auctioned off the creations to raise money for a skatepark they would ultimately design themselves.

Originator Studios got to produce this video to highlight the amazing artists who were up the the challenge. There were some heavy hitters who submitted boards, including Tony Hawk, Michael Stipe, and Matt Groening. Legend has it, Originator bought a few boards themselves at the auction, which can been seen hanging prominently in their office.
